Managing Product Data
This guide explains the custom fields that are added to the WooCommerce product edit page by the EDGE Store plugin.
EDGE Custom Fields Panel
When you edit a product in WooCommerce, you will see a panel named “EDGE Custom Fields”. This panel contains data that is automatically synced from Zoho and other integrated systems.
Important: In general, you should not manually edit the fields in this panel. The data is managed in Zoho and will be overwritten during the next product sync. This panel is primarily for informational and debugging purposes.
Sync Actions
- SYNC PRODUCT: A link that allows you to trigger a manual sync for just this single product, pulling the latest data from Zoho.
- Xero Sync: A link to manually push this product’s data to Xero.
Synced Data Fields
The following fields are automatically populated from Zoho and other systems:
- Zoho ID: The unique ID for this product in Zoho CRM.
- ELE ID: The ID for this product in the ELE system.
- ColourTech ID: The ID for this product in the ColourTech system.
- VitalSource ID: The ID for this product in the VitalSource system.
- ISBN: The product’s ISBN number.
- Cost Price: The cost price of the product, used for creating the bill in Xero.
Product Discounts
Below the main EDGE Custom Fields panel, you may also see a “Product Discounts” panel. This allows you to set specific discounts for this product for different customer groups (roles).
- To add a discount:
- Click “Add Row”.
- Select a “Customer Group” from the dropdown.
- Enter a “Discount Percent” (e.g.,
10for 10%).
This discount will only apply to users in the selected role and will be overridden if a blanket “Discount Override” is set on the role’s main settings page.
This concludes the documentation for the EDGE Store plugin.
